When it comes to a classic drink to enjoy before a meal, few will satisfy your palate quite like the famous Negroni, popular Italian cocktail aperitif made by Gin, Campari and Red Vermouth.
It is simple and sophisticated at the same time, tasting like cherry, wine and citrus, with noticeable bitter notes. The nice thing about this cocktail is that the sweet Vermouth and the orange garnish add enough fruity sweetness to balance it out and to offset some of the bitterness of the Campari.The presence of Gin, instead, gives some notes of lemon and coriander seed.
This drink is very easy to mix up and there are no special tricks to making it taste great. Our tip is to serve it stirred and not shaken! Over ice, in a cocktail glass with a lemon twist.

25ml Sweet Vermouth

How to make the perfect Negroni
1. Pour the Gin, Vermouth and Campari into a mixing glass or jug with ice. Stir well until the outside of the glass feels cold.
2. Strain into a tumbler, add 1 large ice sphere or some fresh ice and garnish with an orange slice, using a blood orange when in season.
