Winery Info
Cannubi Muscatel is one of the most important crus of the whole Barolo DOCG production terroir: it is here that Cascina Bruciata grows the grapes from which this bottle is made, where the fruity sensations are enhanced by alternating with pleasant tertiary aromas developed during slow maturation. Nebbiolo grapes ferment spontaneously in steel, macerating on the skins for about 30 days at a temperature of 28 C, carrying out the malolactic fermentation; then we proceed with the refinement, in large wood for 30 months and in glass for another 6 months. A wine that does not need too many presentations, but which, as evidenced by the excellent scores, should only be tasted!
Taste: In the glass, it shows a very light ruby ‚ red color. The olfactory spectrum manifests notes of sour cherry, blackberry, rose, fern, and spices. In the mouth, it is of strong impact, rich, fruity, with a tannin that needs a few more years of balance. It closes with a very long finish.
